VENTING ABOUT A BAD MARS BAR EXPERIENCE

Hi everyone!
I never really take advantage of this forum, but right now I feel especially obligated to. I just went to the goth night at the Mars Bar on Wednesday, Retrolution, and I must say as a fan of 80's, new wave, and industrial music I was pleased with the music selection, dancing, and energy despite the small dance floor and crappy sound system.

However one of the staff members was rude and I'm wondering if anyone can sympathize.

I'm from Newport News, my friends from Norfolk so total we drove about 2 and a half hours just to do something different in Richmond. At first I was pleased; the crowd was great, Tucker was playing all the hits and was very nice, and there was a bartender with great dreadlocks who is always fantastic and well deserving of a great tip.

Having got there late and being kind of drunk I hadn't realized it was 2:00AM until I noticed a staff member gesturing towards my drink. Thinking I understood, I stopped dancing and came over there so I could finish as much of my drink as I could before he would inevitably take it away cause that's what they do and all. I work at a club in Norfolk djing 80's night and goth night at the wave, and I guess the barbacks must be especially polite, because when it's drink-collecting time they find the drinkers and very casually say, "Drink up" and give you the minute and a half to do just that and feel like you've gotten your money's worth even though you underestimated the time.

I started to "drink up" and the staff member very rudely said "I don't think you heard me right" and SNATCHED my drink from me. Like there was yanking and definate pulling pressure. It was the most rude thing I've experienced since I can remember. I was waaaay surprised and the anger that surfaced didn't come until later, being that the drink was almost full, cost 6$ AND A FOUR DOLLAR TIP, TEN DOLLARS TOTAL.

So there is a staff member at the Mars Bar with thick black rimmed glasses, bad tattoo's and a buzzcut and under my skin I am out for his blood!!! I complained to the beloved dreadlock guy and he sympathized but I really didn't want him to do anything I just wanted for him to understand. It will always be a little uncomfortable for me to be at that club and around this guy, for treating me so crappy and I would hope, anyone reading this planning on going to the mars bar, please make sure you finish your drink before 2, NEVER TIP THIS RUDE RUDE MAN, instead go to the nice guy with the dreadlocks, and if anyone wants to bitch about this black rimmed glasses-bad tattoo asshole, please do so now because right now I can more than sympathize, from a normally non-violent person who was ready to punch this asshole and smash.

NEVER TAKE HEAT FOR GRANTED

So at my house, our heating/cooling unit broke and we never really cared about getting it fixed since the climate wasn't really that bad anyway and we just dealt with it being a little chilly for a couple months.....saved us tons on our electric bill!! However about 3 days ago it was so fucking cold I spent an entire night wide awake, shivering and unable to sleep. I took a shower and the fucking shit was so goddamn steamy I couldn't see past my belly-button! And entering the bathroom while someone was showering was like stepping past the gates of fucking heaven so much steam emerged and surrounded. So I got a space heater.

For those of you who have been in my room, you can imagine how fucking great a space heater would work in this particular enclosed area. The walls, floor, bed, everything is draped in black layered cloth, and needless to say my room is toasty now as fuck.

Goddammit it's snowing outside, and I'm drunk and naked in my room completely comfortable.

And X-ty, if this post is anything like a Johnny post then he must be a complete and utter fag.
